The new 2015 Acura TLX comes with a fresher look when compared to its forerunner, in a model most anticipated by its admirers. This is a sedan with a blend of it’s standard premium’s exterior styling but with a sportier look. The perfect family sedan, this is a vehicle which has lots of expectations on it.
Exteriors and interiors
As mentioned above, the exterior of the 2015 Acura TLX has a sportier look when compared to its past model. It comes with an overhaul on its exteriors with some forceful body lines and an improved aerodynamic design which provides for increased fuel efficiency and general execution.
This new model has a blend of LED headlights, LED backlights and LED delineated side mirrors. The sedan is available in various color options to choose from like Copper Pearl, Slate Silver Metallic, Bellanova White Pearl and Crystal Black Pearl.
Regarding its interiors, those expecting some drastic changes will be somewhat frustrated with the sedan. This is because its general inside look has the same polish and tasteful outline as its previous model.
But as the most current version of Acura’s premium auto line, the sedan does offer sufficient space for five people to sit without any discomfort. The interiors have the most recent innovative features and comes in four colors: Ebony, Espresso, Parchment and Graystone.
Engine specs and performance
The base level 2015 Acura TLX comes with a 2.4L DOHC engine with 4 cylinders which can pump a maximum of 206 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque. The other available option has a 3.5L V-6 which delivers a maximum of 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque.
The 4-cylinder i-VTEC motor combines with an 8-speed double clutch gearbox while the V-6 model comes with a 9-speed automatic ZF transmission with both FWD and AWD configuration. With regards to fuel economy, the TLX rates an average of 28 mpg for the 4-cylinder motor and 25mpg for the V-6 variation.
